Revelation: The Locusts from the Bottomless Pit

In Revelation Chapter 9, which is the time of Great Tribulation, heinous creatures are coming out of the bottomless pit.

Revelation 9:2 "...and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit"

Then come the locusts that have power to sting like scorpions (vs. 3). They didn't come to kill, but to torment. The duration of the torment? Five months (vs. 5).

Revelation 9:6-8 "And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses...And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions."

And their king rules from the bottomless pit whose name is Abaddon. Who would want to face these creatures before death and then die and go to hell?
