2024 Men's Fall Fellowship at Pine Island
Friday & Saturday, October 25-26
This year’s themes center on slowing down our lives just a little bit for two biblical priorities: Time for solitude, meditating on God’s word and time for fellowship with other men.
“Meditation” is a biblical teaching that has been hijacked and eviscerated by eastern religions, which seek an inner peace through the emptying of the mind and focus on self. Biblical meditation focuses on the word of God and fills the mind with truth. Lee Peterson of Baxter, Minnesota will have the Friday evening message titled A Man of the Word in Solitude.
Fellowship and discipleship can happen in a teaching or preaching session, but men tend to learn by being shown and then by doing. Ben Gunderson of Chisago Lakes, Minnesota will have the Saturday morning session titled A Man of the Word in Fellowship and will seek to explore ways to fellowship intentionally.
God willing, the grilled steaks will be back in full force on Friday as well as the Smoked Beef Brisket on Saturday! The schedule is hopefully open enough to allow for time for men to be with men and to fellowship with one another. Thus the meals and breaks have a generous time allotment.
Our workshops in the morning session include time for further discussion of the topics:
1. Methods for Meditation on the Word of God, a roundtable discussion of how to meditate on God’s word without losing focus and without daydreaming.
2. Mentorship as Mutual Fellowship, a roundtable discussion that explores how men often learn from impartation more than instruction.
3. Nutrition and Exercise, a roundtable discussion on the matter of taking time to eat and move intentionally and biblically. I hope to lead this session.
Our workshops at the end of the conference include some fun options just for the sake of men fellowshipping with men. These include:
1. Demonstration: How to Cook on a Blackstone Grill. Live demonstration and lots of samples!
2. How to Fish an Unfamiliar Lake for the First Time. If you have never fished a lake before and have no known pockets that are rich with fish, where do you begin? Dan Gunderson will lead this talk.
3. How to Make Lattes and Cappuccinos at Home. This will be a beginners’ discussion on making espresso-based drinks at home. I hope to demonstrate on both a $500 and a $50 machine. We will also explore the basic recipes and assembly of a Vanilla Latte and a Campfire Smores Cappuccino.
Registration can be accessed at www.Cornerstonepi.org. Registration takes less than 2 minutes!
There is NO DEADLINE. If you have someone who wants to join us at the last minute, bring them! We will have extra food and can always find room for more. Side note: having them register on their phone while en route to our fellowship will still help us best prepare for the extra bodies. We will be monitoring registrations throughout our preparations.
The suggested donation is $15 per day or whatever you can afford. Do not allow tight finances to hinder your fellowship with us! Your men can pay at the door or, if you would like to avoid just a little chaos at the door, you can prepay here: https://www.cornerstonepi.org/give If you prepay and decide to cancel, just let me know and we will refund your fee!
You are welcome to stay overnight in the church. North Rochester has a number of good lodging options as well and we are just 10 minutes north of Rochester.
I hope you can join me for this event.

Tim Graham, Pastor

Invitation from Pastor Tim Graham & Cornerstone Baptist Church of Pine Island
Greetings on behalf of the Minnesota Baptist Association of Churches!
Our 2022 MBA Men's Fall Fellowship will consider how our daily influences can contribute to biblical discipleship.
The theme addresses relationships men have with other men and the way we influence one another in many aspects of life. Some of this is accomplished unknowingly. Some are intentional as we see a brother in need of help. The 2022 Men’s Meeting hopes to focus on doing relationships with other men better.
DATES: November 11-12, 2022
REGISTRATION: www.Cornerstonepi.org or here: https://grahamphotomn.wufoo.com/forms/z1eb0unp0zhnr1w/
PLEASE REGISTER IN ADVANCE
COST: Recommended donation of $15 per day or whatever you can afford. Paid at the door
SPEAKERS: Steve Brower and Ben Gunderson
FAILED TO REGISTER? If your ministry is like mine, someone will pop up at the last minute wanting to join us. Bring them! We always have more than enough food. But even a quick preregistration as you climb into the car to join us will register on my email. So please fill out the form en route if you can. It will help.
We will have a breakout session with two areas of focus. One of the “mistake zone” listed above and another on serving God in the “retirement” years and the opportunity for fruitfulness.
At the end of the weekend, after lunch on Saturday, we will have three fun breakout sessions: 1. Smoking meats on a Weber grill, 2. Roasting coffee at home, and 3. Choosing the appropriate caliber for concealed carry (industry expert lecturing).
